  1. What exactly is your definition of “homemade”. I many times will purchase items that others have made and then make minor changes to them and use them in my layouts (I make miniature one inch scale items.) Can I still say that my item is home made? Do I need to acknowledge where I purchased the other persons item from? As an example, I recently purchased some wooden shapes from Brinca Dada and then used them to create my own version of an Ikea miniature one inch scale couch.

  2. I am not an etsy-er anymore and glad. I was put thru the humiliation of providing step by step info with photos that my items are truly handmade. And then I was judged by a totally unqualified person who never in her life had made Mosaic’s determined that my items were not handmade! Was kicked me to the curb. I could not recover my feedback, my contacts to be able to inform them where I would be selling in the future.
I have absolutely NO RESPECT for them.

  3. I am really excited to be a member of this team! I handmake items in multiple arts genres; actually, it drives me a bit annoyed when mold formed pottery made in an overseas factory by the thousands is labeled handpainted, when I am sitting with little brushes painting my one of pieces one by one. And true for the other forms I work in too–yet I so admire those who are proficient at their technique!
No problem with the rules–have been doing things that way forever.
Thanks so much for including me!
